[edit] What is moneytrackin?

moneytrackin‘ is a free online webapp that allows you to track all your expenses and incomes easily and without effort, thus allowing you to have a clear view of your financial situation. It intends to be a simple yet powerful online budget management tool.

Our aim is to simplify the accounting process so that you can track your finances without effort anytime, anywhere.

Point your browser to the signup form and fill it. More help for the signup process here.


[edit] Is moneytrackin secure?

Your data privacy & security is very important for us, thus we use some mechanisms to ensure it. We won't ask you for any personal information, you can use secure http and all the passwords are encrypted before they reach our servers. We won't give or sell your data to anyone, but we reserve the right to use it by our own for improving the application (always in an anonymous/aggregated manner).

[edit] Is a valid email address required for registering on moneytrackin'?

Yes. First it wasn't required though it was the only way to recover a lost password, but now our legal department has advised us to ask for it, as we need a way to communicate important things like changes on the Terms and conditions and such.

The address you submit is not public and not accessible to spam bots and it won't be used for any other purpose than giving notices from moneytrackin'.

In case you didn't have any you can get one for free from many different providers such as gmail or yahoo.

[edit] Can you translate moneytrackin' into my language?

Actually you can do it by your own. Moneytrackin' translation are community-based, go to our translation webtool homepage for further instructions on how to translate moneytrackin.

If you see wrong english phrases you can contact us and we will correct them.


[edit] Why am I seeing english phrases when I switch to language xxxxxx?

That's because the selected language is not fully translated. Language with more than 50% translated can be selected, but pending strings will still be displayed in english.

All translations are done directly by our users, using the moneytrackin translation webtool.


[edit] I've found a problem with moneytrackin, what should I do?

Please kindly report the error to bugs@moneytrackin.com. We'll do our best to fix it. Please be as descriptive as possible, it really helps us when seeking for the cause.

[edit] What is a 'tag'?

A tag is a keyword which acts like a subject or category. A keyword is used to organize objects. The user 'tags' a transaction using his/her own unique tag. An image or webpage may have multiple tags that identify it. Transactions with identical tags are then linked together and users may use the tag to search for similar transactions and work with them.
